A documentary tourism video for Broken Hill Tourism

Broken Hill received a prestigious placement on the Australian National Heritage List in 2015. We were engaged by Bex Hedderly to help create a Short Documentary video to document this historical moment for Broken Hill Tourism.

We conducted a series of interviews with the people behind the successful campaign: Professor Simon Molesworth, heritage consultant Liz Vines, historian Peter Black and the current City mayor, Wincen Cuy to create a Short Documentary video about the History of Broken Hill.

In the second documentary video we created looked to the future of Broken Hill and featured Pro Hart’s son, John Hart, Esther La Rovere – managing director  of the Palace Hotel and Jason King the owner of Bells Milk Bar.

In order to piece together the stories of the various interview subjects we transcribed their stories. This made it easier to work with Broken Hill Tourism to make sure that the story we were telling was exactly what they wanted.
